Smart Watering
Our climate with moist, mild winters and dry summers allows residents to have a green lawn for most of the year without additional watering. Consider letting your grass go dormant during the summer. Though your lawn will “Go Gold” without added water, it will green up when the rain returns in the fall. If you choose to water your lawn, remember to follow the schedule.
Before 6 AM and/or AFTER 8 PM Based on your address:

Odd No Watering Even Odd Even Odd Even
Members are asked to limit watering to the following schedule to help reduce stress on our drinking water supply from June 1 to September 30 annually:
- Odd numbered street addresses water only on Wednesdays, Fridays, and/or Sundays.
- Even numbered street addresses water only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and/or Saturdays.
- No outdoor watering on Mondays to allow the reservoirs to recharge.
Water Adjudication
As a property owner, do I need to file a claim form with the Department of Ecology for the Water Adjudication?
According to Department of Ecology mailers and website “If you use water directly from surface or groundwater, you must follow the instructions and file a claim form. If you only use water from a city or other public source, you do not need to file a form.” Skookum Chuck Water Association is a public source of water. It is each property owners responsibility to determine if they need to file anything with the Department of Ecology.
